School Council Meeting 22/5/08

Meeting opened at 12:09pm in Meeting room.  Apologies: Jack Whittam

Matters Arising:

1.  We had lots of nominations for Chairperson Carmie will unfortunately not do it because teachers thought because she is a yr. 5.  The Year 6 nominees will share the role with a partner for 1.5 terms each.

General business:

1. Brainstorm projects:   We brainstormed ideas for projects we could do: school, ChCh, NZ, and world.  We collected ideas from every class and wrote the suitable ideas on the big sheets.   We talked about the projects.  We will vote for projects next week.

2. Money:  We talked about how much money we are allowed to spend ($500)

We have to see Mr Sibson/Bored of Trustees/PTA if we want to spend more because they might help us by providing more money, e.g.. sunshades.

3. Assembly badge presentation: Tomorrow we wanted to give out Student Council badges and show an imovie, but we don’t have enough time so we are going to do it on the 6th of June. These people are preparing for assembly:

Maddie and Tara = Script, 

Ben, Ollie, Cameron = Camera, 

Jack, Max, Carmie = Imovie

The meeting closed at 12:40 pm.
